Tranquilo y Confiado
Es difícil mantenerse tranquilo cuando el mundo a nuestro alrededor se desborona. Vivimos en un ambiente de inseguridad constante. Incertidumbre económica, inestabilidad política mundial, violencia individual y terrorismo interno, desastres naturales y enfermedad. Nunca estamos seguros si al salir de nuestras casas cada mañana, regresaremos vivos a ellas. No sabemos si en un abrir y cerrar de ojos perderemos todo o sencillamente estaremos fuera del mundo de los vivos.
Si usted es como yo, tratará de colocar estos pensamientos angustiosos en el fondo de su cabeza, de esa manera es como único puede seguir hacia adelante cada día. Las tragedias cercanas o lejanas nos golpean cuando más seguros nos sentimos. Cuando pensamos que todo está bajo control. Ya nos preocupa bajar la guardia. Cuando algo sucede, tal vez usted piense como yo, “¿Cuándo me tocará a mí?”
Para que usted no se angustie mucho con esto, déjeme decirle que esto no es algo nuevo. Desde que Dios creó al mundo y Satanás lo corrompió, la humanidad vive rodeada de estas mismas circunstancias. Unos años, las cosas son peores que en otros. La tragedia nos puede alcanzar no importa donde estemos. La Biblia y los libros de historia están llenos de ejemplos. Salomón dice: ¿Qué es lo que fue? Lo mismo que será. ¿Qué es lo que ha sido hecho? Lo mismo que se hará; y nada hay nuevo debajo del sol (Eclesiastés 1:9), Me volví y vi todas las violencias que se hacen debajo del sol; y he aquí las lágrimas de los oprimidos, sin tener quien los consuele” (Eclesiastés 4:1a).
No hay necesidad para nosotros de vivir bajo una angustia tan constante. Los eventos que ocurren a nuestro alrededor están fuera de nuestro control. El dios de este mundo (Santanas) no pierde tiempo para causar aflicción y caos; para llevar la desesperación a los corazones y hacer que la gente culpe a Dios por lo que no entiende y ni puede explicar, por aquello que lo aterra y lo hace sentir vulnerable.
Pero el Señor dice que nos acompaña y no nos abandona. Esto es, si nos ponemos bajo su protección, Él garantiza que nos dará esperanza. (Salmo 91:1; Salmo 55:22).
Jesús oró al Padre pidiendo esta consolación: “Yo ruego por ellos; no ruego por el mundo, sino por los que me diste;… éstos están en el mundo, y yo voy a ti…, guárdalos en tu nombre, para que sean uno, así como nosotros… No ruego que los quites del mundo, sino que los guardes del mal… Más no ruego solamente por éstos, sino también por los que han de creer en mí por la palabra de ellos,” Juan 17:9-20.
Por eso, usted puede descansar tranquilo si esta ya bajo el amparo y la protección de Jesús. No hay nada que pueda hacer para enderezar este mundo. Esas son las señales de que va camino a su destrucción final algún día.

At Ease And In Peace
It is difficult to live at ease when the world around us is collapsing. We live in a state of constant insecurity. Economic uncertainty, instability in the world’s politics and countries’ relationships, individual violence and terrorism (internal and external), natural disasters, and diseases. We never know if we will return home safe each day. We don’t know if in an eye blink we will lose everything or if we simply will disappear from the world of the living.
If you are like me, you will try to push those distressing thoughts to the back of your mind, as the only recourse to continue on with your life. Tragedies close and distant hit us when we feel the most protected and secured. We think everything is under control. Things are going so far that we are worried to let our guard down for a minute. Maybe, like me, you think, “When will my turn be?”
Let me tell you something, so you do not stress too much with these thoughts. Since God created the world and Satan corrupted it, humankind has been through the same circumstances over and over again. Some years are worse than others. Tragedy can reach us no matter where we are or what we are doing. The Bible and history books are filled with examples. Solomon says, “What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.(Ecclesiastes 1:9 ESV),..Again I saw all the oppression that are done under the sun. And behold, the tears of the oppressed, and they had no one to comfort them!” (Ecclesiastes 4:1a ESV).
There is no need for us to live under constant anguish. We cannot control he events that happens around us. The “god of this world” (Satan) jump to every opportunity to cause suffering and chaos; to plant despair in the hearts of the people and make them blame God for what they cannot understand, cannot explain, that frighten them, and make them feel vulnerable.
But the Lord said, He will be with us and will not abandon us. Of course, if we put our self under His protection, He guarantees that we will have hope (Psalm 91:1; 55:22).
Jesus prayed to the Father asking this consolation, “…I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me,… they are in the world, and I am coming to you… . I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one… “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,” John 17:9-20.
Because of this consolation you can rest at peace if you are under His protection. There is nothing that can fix this world. Everything that is happening in the world is another evidence of the approaching destruction that awaits for it.
