First Anniversary September 29/ Primer Aniversario Septiembre 29

El pasado domingo 29 de septiembre tuvimos la celebracion de nuestro primer aniversario. 320 peronas entre personas de la comunidad, miembros de la nueva congregacion y visitiantes de nuestras iglesias patrocinadoras se dieron cita en esta hermosa actividad. Tuvimos un servicio de adoracion muy edificante con canticos dirigidos por el grupo Restauracion que nuestro Hno. Omar Corpus dirige, Oficieron la comunion y la ofrenda los hermanos locales y el sermon de la manana lo presento Hno. Kelley Grant de Great Cities Missions. Todo en el servicio fue bilingue para que todos los presentes pudieran participar.  Culminamos el dia con un delicioso almuerzo al estilo mexicano, con deliciosos taquitos de carne asada/ fajitas de pollo, acompanados de arroz y frijoles. Gracias a todos los que asisitieron al mismo, a todos los hermanos que hicieron posible este gran esfuerzo y a nuestras iglesias patrocinadoras por creer en nosotros. Sobretodo, le damos gracias a Dios por darnos el privilegio no merecido de ser sus siervos.

Last Sunday September 29, we celebrated the first anniversary of Arlington Iglesia de Cristo. 320 people  from the community, the congregation, and from our sponsoring congregation attended to this beautiful activity. We had an uplifting worship service with songs leaded by the group “Restauracion,” a worship team directed by Omar Corpus. Some of local members and the sermon was presented by Kelley Grant from Great Cities Mission. All worship service was bilingual so everyone could enjoy it. We ended our activities with a delicious lunch of steak /chicken fajitas tacos with rice and beans.

Thank you all attendees,  the members of this new congregation that make it possible this activity, and our sponsoring congregations for believe and support us. And overall, thank to the Lord for gave us the unworthy honor of be His servants.

Recientemente salió un artículo en Outreach Magazine Titulado “Carne, Leche y la Iglesia Desnutrida” por Steven Furtick. En dicho artículo se presenta la falta de alimentación espiritual de los cristianos en América. Varias causas son discutidas, entre ellas la falta de auto alimentación. Los cristianos solo se conforman con el alimento espiritual que reciben el domingo y no practican el estudio personal y las disciplinas espirituales. Esto ocurre de acuerdo a Mr. Furtick a dos factores principales de los cuales todos somos responsables tanto los líderes como la congregación; el  descuido de los líderes en educar a la grey en como auto alimentarse de forma personal y privada durante la semana y el poco interés y falta de motivación de los miembros a aplicarse al estudio de la palabra gracias a su dependencia a recibir alimento ya digerido de sus líderes a través de las reuniones congregacionales.

Nuestra serie de sermones va dirigida precisamente a combatir esa falta de motivación e interés. Se enfatiza la importancia y la responsabilidad de cada miembro de la iglesia en auto alimentarse y practicar las disciplinas espirituales durante la semana de forma individual para crecer bien alimentados y nutridos en la palabra del Señor. En la serie de sermones Cristianos Esponjas, se proveerán consejos útiles y maneras de aplicar las disciplinas espirituales de forma sencilla para motivar  a la membresía a sumergirse más asiduamente en la vida espiritual, proveyendo además guía y apoyo para lograr hacer de la iglesia del Señor un cuerpo fuerte y bien alimentado donde cada miembro se responsabilice por la salud particular y grupal. Venga y aprenda con nosotros como mantenerse bien alimentado en el Señor toda la semana. También ofrecemos una pausa en los sermones para cubrir un tema especial el Día del Padre titulado: Lejos de Ser Perfecto. No long ago there was an article in Outreach Magazine entitled, Milk, Meat and The Malnourished Church by Steven Furtick. It presents the lack of spiritual nourishment within American Christians.  Several causing factor are presented, among them the lack of self-nourishment. Christians are content with being fed every Sunday even when some complaint of receiving “weak food” and that’s it! They do not practice personal study and spiritual disciplines during the week.  Mr. Furtick highlighted two main factors for this problem of what we all are responsible: the oversight of the church leaders to train the flock in self-nourishment in a personal individual level, and the dependency and lack of motivation from the members in study the Bible every day relaying in their leaders to teach them every Sunday what they will need to know about God and the Christian living.

Our Sermon Series addresses the need to fight against the lack of motivation and negligence. It emphasizes the importance and responsibility of each member of the congregation to self-nourish and to practice spiritual disciplines during the week in an individualized way to grow healthy and strong in the Lord’s Word. In this sermon series, Christian Sponges, will provide practical tips on how to develop a self-nourishment program and simple ways to practice spiritual discipline, combined with guidance and support as everyone learns how to feed themselves more effectively. Los temores son algo que pueden interferir con nuestras relaciones sociales, el trabajo, la escuela y la vida familiar.

Sabía usted que:

–el 40% de lo que nos preocupa nunca sucederá

–el 30% de lo que tememos, ocurrió en el pasado y no tenemos control sobre ello.

–el 10% de las cosas que nos preocupan son consideradas insignificantes por los demás.

–el 12% de lo que nos preocupa tiene que ver con enfermedades que nunca ocurrirán

–Esto significa que el 92% de nuestros temores nunca se harán realidad.

En la serie “El Infierno Dejo de ser Caliente” trataremos de concientizar a todos sobre los peligros de restarle importancia a los estándares de conducta que Dios espera de cada persona y por los cuales seremos juzgados, a la vez que discutiremos la importancia de no caer en la trampa de  como considerar faltas ligeras lo que Dios claramente ha considerado inaceptable y pecaminoso. Cosas por  las cuales algún día todos seremos juzgados. También, procuraremos re- encender  en los corazones de todos  el amor por Jesús y su sacrificio y lo que realmente representa la cruz para nosotros hoy día. No se pierda esta oportunidad de alimentar su alma con sermones profundos y de esperanza, en un ambiente de reverencia, adoración y calor espiritual.

 

Taking advantage of this time of the year where so many honor the dead and resurrection of Jesus Christ, he have designed a sermon series with the purpose of acknowledge the dangers of minimize the impact of sin in our live as we pointed the importance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross to freed us from it. In this sermon series we will try to become aware of the dangers of neglect the standards established by God for all mankind to follow and for which we all will be judged someday.  At the same time, we will review the importance to avoid the traps of consider real sins as a lightly faults when God already said those were unacceptable by him. También busca explicar la manera tan poderosa en que Dios demostró su amor por nosotros incluyendo el sacrificio de su único Hijo Jesucristo.  Para eso, se discutirán en detalle los diferentes elementos que componen el amor cristiano y la superioridad y permanencia del amor sobre las demás cualidades cristianas  en el reino de Dios. It will also try to explain the powerful way that God showed his love for us, including the sacrifice of his Only Child, Jesus Christ. In order to understand this, we will discuss in detail the different elements that compose Christian love and the superiority and permanency of love over other Christian traits. New Sermon Series for January 2013 / Nueva serie de Sermones en Enero 2013

Comenzando el 2013, enero trae una nueva serie de sermones titulados “El Mundo No Se Acabó.” Luego que el tan esperado evento catastrófico profetizado para el 21 de diciembre del 2012 no tuviera lugar, muchos se preguntan: “¿Ahora qué?”   Esta nueva serie va dirigida a discutir los eventos proféticos registrados en la Biblia con un toque evangelístico dirigido a ayudar a la gente a entrar en sintonía con Dios. La serie estará basada en 2 Pedro 3. Esta serie está compuesta por cuatro sermones, uno cada domingo ordenados como sigue: Enero 6: Y, ¿ahora qué?; enero 13: “Tengo Tiempo Todavía”; enero 20: “Dios es Paciente”; enero 27: “Pero SÍ Se Va a Acabar.” Esperamos a todos cada domingo a las 10:00am en el 1401 Hillcrest DR Arlington 7601 para descubrir las verdades bíblicas relacionadas al fin del mundo y cómo podemos prepararnos para dicho evento. Beginning in 2013, January brings a new sermon series entitled “The world did not end.” After the catastrophic event prophesied for December 21, 2012 did not take place, many are asking, “Now what?” This new series is aimed at discussing the prophetic events recorded in the Bible with a touch of evangelism. With the purpose of helping people to get in tune with God. The series will be based on 2 Peter 3.
